MONMOUTH – The Bilodeau family, descendants of Henry and Jeanne Bilodeau of Lewiston, held the 12th reunion at the family compound on Lake Cochnewagan on July 28 to 30. Approximately 25 attended.

Activities included fishing, swimming, paddle boating, sail-boarding, canoeing, kayaking, badminton and baseball.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald M. Bilodeau of Lewiston were surprised when the family members helped them celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, presenting them a balloon, a cake, a card, a dinner at an area restaurant and an album of photographs depicting family events that occurred through the years. A special gift from the family was two tickets to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park.

In the evening, a fire was lit and skits, songs, games, marshmallows and s’mores topped off the day.

People came from Seattle, Wash.; Naples, Fla.; Marlborough, Conn.; New York City; Derry, N.H.; and DeBary, Fla., and well as Maine towns.

A family reunion fund was established, with Christina Bilodeau appointed as president. She was also sworn in as junior security officer. Next year’s event will be held at the same place during the last weekend in July.
