PARIS – Pastor Walter Webb will speak on “Did Jesus Mean That?” at the 10 a.m. service Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Deering Memorial Methodist Church at Market Square, South Paris. A coffee fellowship will follow the service.

Senior College

BETHEL – Western Mountains Senior College will hold its annual meeting at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the dining room of the West Parish Congregational Church. At this meeting, new board members will be elected and they will review the activities and classes of the past year, and take suggestions for additional offerings. Refreshments will be served.

Bridge results

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge met Sept. 19 with five full tables playing a Howell Movement. First, Anna Cormier and Woody Mercier; second, Richard Balian and Nick Karamessinis; third, Nancy Farmer and Pete Cummings; fourth, Larry Holmes and Don Johnson. The group meets at 9 a.m. every Friday at the Fare Share Commons on Main Street. Any bridge player is welcome. A partner is always available.
