GREENWOOD – Rosa Guilford, 79, passed away unexpectedly on a late September day.

She worked as a CNA and store clerk and other various jobs that didn’t represent what she truly was to the people that loved her. She enjoyed keeping the memory of those that passed before her alive with stories and pictures.

She enjoyed the outdoors and especially the area of Greenwood and Patch Mountain were she had fond memories of her childhood.

She reveled in the feel of freedom she had from being independent. She was proud of maintaining a driver’s license and automobile, which allowed her to enjoy driving the back roads that she loved.

She left behind four children who loved her deeply, Eileen, Doreen, Larry, Randy; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann with whom she had formed a special bond; five grandchildren, Darrell, Sonia, Heather, Tina and Todd; other caring relatives; and a very special friend, Mary (Puddy) A. Tripp who’s company she enjoyed greatly.

She was predeceased by her mother, father and brother Charles Herrick.

Though her spirit is free to find happiness that sometimes alludes us in life, her body will be laid to rest at Riverside Annex Cemetery in South Paris.
