FARMINGTON – A former Farmington-area resident pleaded guilty Friday to four counts of unlawful sexual contact of a 13-year-old girl.

Daniel Vigue, 24, now of Skowhegan, was indicted by a Franklin County grand jury on three counts of Class A gross sexual assault, and three counts of unlawful sexual contact Class B and one count of unlawful sexual contact Class C.

In a plea agreement, Vigue admitted to the unlawful contact counts, and the gross sexual assault counts were dropped.

Assistant District Attorney Andrew Robinson said the unlawful contact occurred March 30 in Industry.

Vigue will remain on house arrest, allowed only to leave his home for medical appointments and to meet with his lawyer until his sentencing later this year while the state waits for the results of a pre-sentence exam that will assess Vigue’s threat to the community, among other things.

Vigue faces up to 10 years for each of the three Class B charges of unlawful sexual contact and five years for the Class C charge.
