LEWISTON – Dawn R. Courbron has been named an assistant vice president in the Information Security Department at Banknorth Group, Inc. in Lewiston.

She will continue to be responsible for the maintenance, analysis and review of corporate information security policies, standards and procedures as they relate to the bank’s mainframe.

Courbron joined Banknorth in 1998 and has six years in banking.

She previously served as an information security administrator and an information security analyst.

She is a member of the Information Systems Security Association.

A Lewiston resident, Courbron participates in the Corporate Spell Masters for the Portland Partnership in Education and the Corporate Spelling Bee for the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce.

She also volunteers with the March of Dimes WalkAmerica and coordinates a holiday food drive.

She is a 1993 graduate of Tennessee Temple University.
