I echo the words of Mitchell Sweetser and Charlene McPhee (Sept. 15) that Auburn needs Bob Mennealy to represent the citizens of Auburn.
Mennealy is not afraid to question the way things are done and has the guts to stand up for what is right for the people, not just what is right for the city government. He was elected to office by the people of Auburn and that is where he should stay.
A guard dog is exactly what is needed to keep the rubber stamps in check. The fact that Councilor Livingston screamed at the audience to stop that clapping is just telling us that he thinks that we are not entitled to our opinions as taxpaying citizens. And that is just short of censorship.
Keep it up, Bob Mennealy. Auburn needs you and what you stand for.
