1935 – 2003

LEWISTON – John C. Howard, 67, of 70 Lessard St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Sept. 28, at Montello Manor Nursing Home, where he had been a resident for the past month.

Born in Calais on Nov. 8, 1935, he was the son of Franklin and Dorothy McCaughlin Howard. Educated in Calais schools, he lived and worked in the Portland area for many years, moving to Lewiston ten years ago.

On Sept. 26, 1994, he married the former Joan P. Tucker Ouellette in Lewiston. He enjoyed traveling and music, and combined the two playing guitar in several country bands over the years.

Survivors include his wife of Lewiston; and a step-daughter, Laurie and her husband James Burton of Lewiston.
