LEWISTON – BetterHoc-key.com/TOP DOG will offer a free learn-to-skate program in Lewiston, Auburn and Kents Hill. More than 100 children have registered. The program will provide 3- to 5-year-olds with a safe and fun introduction to skating and ice hockey.
BetterHockey.com/TOP DOG instructors and coaches will work with the kids to get the beginners up on their skates and to introduce the more advanced kids to more effective skating techniques.
Lessons will start in Lewiston the first week of October and run for four weeks. All children completing the program will receive a free Top Dog learn-to-skate T-shirt.
The schedule is as follows:
Lewiston: Central Maine Civic Center, 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. Sundays, Oct. 5 through 26.
Auburn: Ingersoll Ice Arena, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturdays, Oct. 11, 18 and 25 and Nov. 1.
Kents Hill: Alfond Arena at Kent’s Hill School, from 6 to 7 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 5 through 26.
