Dear Sun Spots: Elisa Boxer’s son was born in April. Is she coming back to Channel 8 or has she retired? – B.B., No Town.

Answer:
Doug Cook, Elisa’s husband, says she is not returning to Channel 8. Boxer has decided to stay home with the couple’s son, Evan, who’s now 5½ months old. Boxer is, however, teaching a news writing course at the University of Southern Maine, so she is keeping very busy between parenthood and teaching. But, she also says that TV news is definitely in her blood and she does expect to return at some point in the future.

Dear Sun Spots: I am interested in the names, addresses and contacts of U.S. shoe manufacturers. Can you please list any information? – D.B., Rumford.

Answer:
You don’t specify which shoe manufacturers. A Google search has revealed there’s a many athletic, golf, Italian and other shoe manufacturers, all of which are too numerous to publish here. Perhaps if you narrow your search Sun Spots may be able to assist you better.

Dear Sun Spots: I enjoy your column very much. Lots of good information.

I would like to know why Maury Povich’s program was taken off the air. He did so much to help young people.

Also, why was Montel Williams taken off? They replaced these programs with such horrible junk. Who can I contact to get these programs back on TV?

And can you tell me if the Penn wallpaper company is still in business. I believe they were in Penn. I used to get all my wallpaper from their company. – M. Cadenelli, Norway.

Answer: “
The Montel Williams Show” airs Monday to Friday at 4 p.m. on WABI TV5 (Bangor). You can also get it on Fox at 2 p.m. Monday to Friday.

“The Maury Show” still airs and is still being recorded, according to “The Maury Show” in New York. It airs Monday to Friday at 3 p.m. also on Fox.

Regarding your question about the wallpaper company, Sun Spots has been unable to locate it.

Dear Sun Spots: I enjoy your column and appreciate the useful information that you provide.

My question: Where can I purchase a new replacement for my 20- to 25-year-old Stanley broom? Where can I buy Stanley products? The Stanley parties of the past provided many good household products. Is this company still in business? There used to be a wonderful Stanley dealer in the Farmington area. Any help from your readers would be welcome. Thank you. – Betty M., Jay.
