LIVERMORE FALLS – Area Youth Sports (AYS) Jets of Jay-Livermore rolled to a 40-15 victory over Lewiston Saturday in the Western Maine Seventh-Eighth-Grade Football League. AYS is now 3-0. Lewiston falls to 0-3-1.

TURNER – Henry Blackford was the overall winner in the first annual 5-K Cross Country Race held Saturday at Ricker Hill Orchards. His winning time was 21:53. Debbie Moreau was the overall female winner with a clocking of 24:59.

Swim team planned

AUBURN – The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston and the YWCA of Central Maine are preparing to kick off the 2003-2204 Twin Cities Swim Team season. The TCST Sea Lions is a co-ed team for youngsters ages 6-18. Emphasis is on the development of each individual in accordance with his or her abilities and desires.

Registration will begin at the scheduled Fall Parents Meeting, October 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the YMCA in Auburn. The season begins October 14. More information can be obtained by calling the YMCA at 795-4095, or the YWCA at 795-4050.
