WILTON – Planners will discuss a junkyard permit when they meet Thursday. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the town office. Rick Collins will attend the meeting to discuss with the Planning Board his junkyard on Route 2 in Wilton.

Planners will also continue their discussion of issues for the upcoming year. Those issues include taking information out of the zoning ordinance that conflicts with a newly enacted subdivision ordinance, the possibility of increasing the number of hours Code Enforcement Officer Brenda Medcoff works in order to enable her to better address a variety of violations in town, the enforcement of junkyard violations, and possible ordinance changes for setback requirements from the water in the downtown area.

Other issues include changes to the land use table, Routes 2 & 4 access management, regulations around signs that advertise brand name products, shoreland expansions and cluster development.
