LEWISTON – The Lewiston Public Library has received a special SeniorsPlus grant of $500 to purchase materials on family caregiving. The funds were used to purchase 20 new books and videos for the library’s collection.
The new materials cover a variety of subjects, including evaluating living arrangements for older adults, financial planning and how to provide care for an aging parent.
According to LPL Reference Technician Bernadette Boisvert, “These new titles provide a great deal of practical and useful information for older children dealing with the wide range of issues involved with assisting and caring for their parents.”
For more information, contact the LPL Reference Department at 784-0135, extension 210 or via e-mail at [email protected]. Library hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
