BRUNSWICK – A parenting education program, “Caught in the Middle,” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Brunswick High School library.

The parenting program is for separating or divorcing parents. Presented by an experienced educator and counslor, the workshop will address why divorce is difficult for children, how children at different ages react to divorce and how parents can best help their children adjust.

The workshop will examine behavior at specific ages, the impact of divorce on behavior and management strategies to effect positive change. Anger, guilt, stress and the inconsistenies of two homes and the feeling of “caught in the middle” are addressed.

Participants will receive a manual, which covers workshop topics and includes a resource guide. The fee is $25 prior to the workshop and $40 at the workshop. For more information or to register, call 837-4893.
