LEWISTON – Whether used as a comfort during labor or a medium for birthing, water can play an integral role in the birthing process. A discussion can help expecting families explore the option at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, in the Fleet Room of St. Mary’s Women’s Health Pavilion.
The evening will be facilitated by a group of midwives from Women’s Health Associates, a Community Clinical Services practice. Midwives Chris Gillis, CNM, and Jean Kahn, CNM, will discuss “Water and Birth: The Gentle Choice.”
The presentation will include an informal videotape, discussion by the midwives and an opportunity for questions. The program will be presented in conjunction with National Nurse Midwifery Week.
To reserve a seat, those interested should call 777-4000.
