BUMP ON HEAD: Family and friends gather around a 3-year-old boy who fell from a Dumont Street home’s window late Wednesday afternoon as police and paramedics administer first aid. The boy bumped his head and was frightened by the 12-foot fall but he escaped serious injury. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center where he was given three stitches and held overnight for observation. Officials declined to release the boy’s identity because of his age. The boy had been talking with friends through the window and pressing against a screen, Sgt. David St. Pierre said. The screen gave way and he fell.
