1948 – 2003

LEWISTON – Clayton W. May Sr., 55, of Mechanic Falls, formerly of Norway, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Born on March 9, 1948, the son of Grover and Dorothy Maye May, he attended schools in Oxford.

He worked construction for the Town of Paris and was a self-employed auto mechanic and car salesman. He loved fishing and his dog, Tessa Mae.

Survivors include his wife, Ersal of Norway; three sons, Clayton W. May Jr. of Lewiston, Michael May of Litchfield and Kevin O’Neil of West Paris; two daughters, Lina Rowe of Oxford and Lina May of Alabama; five grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert May of Oxford and Ralph May of Lewiston; a sister, Judy Daggett of Florida; and his dog, Tessa Mae.
