AUBURN – Kristin Keene took a crossing pass from Gina Gaetani 25 seconds into overtime and shot it just to the right of the keeper to send Edward Little to a 2-1 win over Mt. Blue in KVAC field hockey action Saturday afternoon.

Brittany Roberge converted a pass from Kathy Harder for the Red Eddies (7-3-1) in the first half. Allison Webster tied the score for the Cougars (5-5-1) late in the second half. Mary Martin and Katie Ouellette combined for seven saves for EL.

Oak Hill 3, Rockland 3

ROCKLAND – Mae Nadeau scored twice as Oak Hill tied Rockland 3-3 in KVAC competition. Jill Lizotte added a solo goal for the Raiders (1-8-1).

Tegan Atwell (two goals) and Caitlin Hynes connected for the Tigers (6-3-1).

Leavitt 3, Mt. View 1

LEAVITT – Beth Ellis assisted all three goals to lift Leavitt to a 3-1 KVAC win over Mt. View.

Jessica Palodino scored twice and Jen Gondeck added another for the Hornets (9-2). Lindsey Hunter scored for the Mustangs.

Girls’ soccer

Lewiston 3, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON – Kelsey Varney converted a pass from Sheena Roy less than a minute into the first half to send Lewiston on its way to a 3-0 shutout of Mt. Blue in KVAC girls’ soccer.

Laura Martel and Kelsey Rodrigue each scored for the Eastern A-leading Devils (10-0-1).

For the Cougars (2-9), goalie Jessica Merchant had 11 saves.

Carrabec 1, Mtn. Valley 0

RUMFORD – Marcie Williams booted a pass from Alyssa Giroux just past Sasha Theriault to send Carrabec to a 1-0 win in double overtime over Mountain Valley. Amy Campbell of Carrabec and Theriault each made seven saves.

Poland 1, Wells 1

POLAND – Misty Grant converted a feed from Mindy Thomas at 21:45 of the first half as Poland and Wells played to a 1-1 WMC deadlock.

Kasey Darnell turned back 12 shots for the Knights (2-6-1).

Oak Hill 4, Mt. View 3

WALES – Judy Blondin booted in the winning goal from Andrea Lane to boost Oak Hill to a 4-3 KVAC triumph over Mt. View. Lane had two other assists earlier in the game to Danielle Sargent on behalf of the Raiders (5-6).

Boys’ soccer

EL 3, Gardiner 1

AUGUSTA – Raynor Large booted a crossing pass from Alan Kirouac from eight yards out Saturday to lift Edward Little to a 3-1 win over Gardiner in a KVAC boys’ soccer game played at Cony High School due to inclement weather conditions.

David Lutz and Marc St. Hilaire added a goal apiece for the Red Eddies (4-6) to account for the final score. B.J. Levasseur turned back six shots to record the win. Eric Hachey tallied the lone goal for the Tigers (2-6-2).

Oak Hill 2, Mt. View 1

WALES – Pat Doucette drilled his second goal of the game at 10:14 of the second half to propel Oak Hill to a 2-1 win over Mt. View in KVAC action.

Doucette’s game-winning goal for the Raiders (2-9) came from 30 yards out. John Daggett made 12 saves to record the win.
