BETHEL – Topping the Board of Selectmen’s 7 p.m. meeting Monday, Oct. 6, in the town office, is an action item to borrow $630,000 for a sewer improvement project.

Selectmen are asked to authorize execution of loan documents through the Maine Municipal Bond Bank/State Revolving Loan Fund for the Paradise Road Sewer Rehabilitation Project.

Additional agenda items include:

• Amendments to the General Assistance Ordinance regarding assistance levels.

• A final report from the 2003 Committee, which was tasked with implementing Bethel’s Comprehensive Plan.

• A summary of the Fiscal Year 2004 tax rate calculation.

• A communication from Jason Howe regarding an Eagle Scout project.

• Two routine public hearings on a lodging house liquor license for the Cameron House and a liquor license renewal for Pat’s Pizza.

The board is slated to close out the meeting with a closed-door session to discuss a real estate sale offer.
