PARIS – More than 40 volunteers assisted Oxford County Democrats at the Fryeburg Fair. Results from the straw poll conducted at the fair and at the Rumford Expo will be released by the week of Oct. 13.
Governor’s Night in Oxford County on Oct. 16 in Rumford will feature a silent auction and a Chinese auction, as well as music, a program featuring remarks by Gov. John Baldacci and others, and a chicken parmesan dinner.

Caucus meetings to determine Maine’s vote for the Democratic nominee for president will be held on Sunday, Feb. 8. County Chairwoman Cathy Newell is assembling the list of caucus conveners for each town in the county.
