CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Sugarloafers will converge on the resort for the annual Homecoming Weekend to be held Oct. 10-13 at Sugarloaf/USA. The annual event offers a number of activities.

The largest event of the weekend is the Upcountry Artists’ Art Show that will feature the creative works of more artists than ever before. The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the base lodge.

Other Saturday activities include the annual ski sale at Carrabassett Valley Academy at the base of the mountain.

Guests can also pick up free pumpkins and straw at Guest Services from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday and then display them at the Great Pumpkin and Scarecrow Showcase at 3:30 p.m. that afternoon.

The Annual Information Meeting with John Diller will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sugarloaf Inn. The Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Club will host their annual pig roast from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Outdoor Center and the Homecoming Auction will be held at 7:30 p.m. at The Bag & Kettle restaurant with over 100 items to be auctioned off to benefit youth recreational programs in Kingfield and Carrabassett Valley.

Sunday activities include both a kids and adults uphill climb, followed by Junior Olympics for kids in the afternoon.
