LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine announces a new After-School Time Splash for third- through sixth-graders that will allow children time in the pool with friends.

The swim will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Mondays now through June 14 (excludes May 31). Participants must hold a current YWCA membership. Spaces are limited. Cost is $50 for the entire school year. In addition participants will be entitled to attend the YWCA free membership swim from 12:15 to 1 p.m. each Saturday. For more information or to sign up call the YWCA at 795-4050.

The YWCA also announces a new splash party for children in second grade and up to celebrate a birthday or other special event for small groups during public Magic YWorld from 3 to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Parties will include a table for eight in the big party room for gifts and cake from 3 to 3:30 p.m., then to the pool for Magic YWorld from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The cost for members is $8 a child and the birthday child is for free if a current YWCA member. YWCA non-members pay $10 a child.
