HEBRON – Molly E. Lidz, a senior at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Mass., has been named a semifinalist in the 2004 National Merit Scholarship Program. Lidz is the daughter of Charles and Lynn Lidz of Hebron.

She is one of 16,000 scholastically talented high school seniors selected from more than 1.3 million students in more than 21,000 U.S. high schools who took the qualifying test. She has the opportunity to compete for one of 8,000 Merit Scholarship awards offered next spring.

Finalists have a record of high academic performance, recommendations from their school heads and SAT scores that confirm their qualifying test performance.
