LEISTON – Dean C. Waterman has been named an assistant vice president at Peoples Heritage Bank. He will continue to manage business development, small business lending, residential mortgages, consumer loans and deposit accounts in his role as business development and sales manager at the Peoples banking center at 790 Lisbon Street in Lewiston.

Waterman joined Peoples in 1997 and has 11 years experience in banking. He previously served as a mortgage originator and a mortgage center team leader.

A resident of Durham, Waterman is a member of the board, chairs the finance committee and coaches the girls varsity basketball team at Pine Tree Academy in Freeport. He also serves as assistant treasurer at Brunswick Seventh-day Adventist. He is a 1993 graduate of Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, Mass. Originally from Yarmouth, Waterman is a 1989 graduate of Pine Tree Academy.
