BRUNSWICK – Twenty-five mid coast students have received health career scholarships totaling $32,000 from the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary.
The success of Auxiliary fund-raisers this past year, combined with the need for financial aid for students, led the Auxiliary to increase scholarships by $7,000 over past years.
Scholarship students include college freshmen, upper class students and hospital employees in continuing education programs.
They are Alana Campbell of Freeport and Kristin Dexter of Georgetown, University of New Hampshire; Rebecca Michaud of Brunswick, St. Anselm College; Andrea Burns of Topsham, West Virginia Wesleyan College; Amanda Warner of Bath, Jennie Albrecht of Harpswell, Christina Hanson of Woolwich and Sarah Farrar of Topsham, University of Southern Maine.
Ivy Mussomeli of Bowdoinham, Northeastern University; Hannah Levesque of Bowdoin, Messiah College; Ashley Doyle of Lisbon Falls, Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing; Theresa Gleason of Bowdoin, Meta Levesque of Brunswick, William Montejo of Bowdoinham and Jessica Hickey of Bath, University of Maine at Augusta; Joshua Shean of Brunswick and Annie Bradbury of Topsham, Southern Maine Community College; Sara Nicita of Brunswick, Boston College; Juliet Nicita of Brunswick, University of Vermont.

The fall membership drive is under way. Dues may be paid by going to the Mid Coast Hospital Web site, www.midcoasthealth.com, and clicking on volunteer. The fall luncheon and annual meeting will be held Oct. 21 at Taste of Maine Restaurant, Woolwich, and the holiday bazaar will be Dec. 5 at the hospital. The two-day book sale will be held in April.
