1947 – 2003

HALLOWELL – Dixie L. Saul, formerly of Waterville, died on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, in Hallowell at the age of 55.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1947, in Gardiner, Maine, a daughter of Charles E. and Elva A. (Rollins) Baker. She graduated from Erskine Academy in 1965. She had worked at Norge Village Dry Cleaners in Waterville.

She was a great bowler. She also enjoyed going for rides and shopping. She was a collector of Beanie Babies. She will be best remembered for her generosity and willingness to give to those in need.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mark A. and Nancy L. Saul of Winslow, Jackie R. and Michael Huey of Benton; her grandchildren, Dylan Atkins of Winslow and Michaela Huey of Benton; her brothers and sisters, Donald E. Baker and his wife, Marie, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Charlotte L. and her husband, Valery Bardash, of Pittston, Larry C. Baker of Lake Mary, Fla.; Evelyn M. Donovan and her husband, Frederick P. Donovan Jr., of South Paris, Rodney L. Baker and his wife, Sharon, of Gardiner, Michael J. Baker of Farmingdale; and her companion Harold Mailloux of Waterville.

She is predeceased by her parents, Charles E. and Elva A. Baker, one nephew, Frederick P. Donovan III.
