1910 – 2003

CANTON – Helen L. Watson, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at the Victorian Villa Rehabilitation & Living Center in Canton. She was a former resident of Wilton and Mexico.

She was born at Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada on July 4, 1910, a daughter of George and Edith (Pugh) Hanson, and had attended schools in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Helen was a former member of the Wilton Firemen’s Auxiliary and the Rebacca Lodge of Wilton.

She was married in North Vassalboro in 1929, to the late Laurice P. Watson who died in Farmington on Jan. 4, 1993.

Survivors include two sons-in-law, Ted Crowder of Riverview, Fla. and Joe Dyke of Wilton; three sisters, Hilda McKinnon of R.I., Evelyn Whitney and Florence Simpson of Mass.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
