FARMINGTON – Lindsay Visbaras converted a feed from Elyse Conant at 21:40 of the second period to lift Edward Little to a 1-0 KVAC girls’ soccer win over Mt. Blue on Friday afternoon.

Visbaras took a crossing pass from Conant and buried it from 10 yards out, sending the Eddies (6-4-2) to the win.

Mt. Abram 3, Carrabec 0

SALEM – Liz Kankainen netted a pair of goals to lead Mt. Abram to a 3-0 MVC victory over Carrabec.

Lindsay Perlson provided the assist and tallied a goal for the Roadrunners (7-6).

Winthrop 2, Mtn. VAlley 0

RUMFORD – Emily Knight and Ashley Falcone each scored a second-half goal to propel Winthrop to a 2-0 MVC win over Mountain Valley.

Katie Brooks made eight saves to register the win.

Oxf. Hills 1, Lawrence 0

SOUTH PARIS – Annie Foster found the net six minutes into the second half to lift Oxford Hills to a 1-0 KVAC win over Lawrence. Mary Darcy turned away seven shots in net for the Vikings (5-6-1) to record her second shutout of the season. Kate Mayo made 14 saves for the Bulldogs (4-5-1).

Field hockey

St. Dom’s 4, Freeport 1

FREEPORT – Malley O’Shea scored the game-winning goal, sending unbeaten St. Dom’s to a 4-1 win over Freeport in WMC field hockey action.

The Saints (12-0) dominated the second half in offense with Erica Dorso and O’Shea scoring a pair of goals apiece. Dorso also provided two assists.

Catherine Hoering cracked an unassisted goal to give the Falcons (6-5) a 1-0 lead at the half. Ilissa Vallee made four saves for the Saints, while Beth Nents deflected 19 for the Falcons.

Lisbon 1, Mtn. Valley 0

RUMFORD – Erica Merritt took a feed from Kelly Campbell with 20:54 left in regulation and blasted it home to give Lisbon a 2-1 MVC win over Mountain Valley.

Crystal Doughty scored for the Greyhounds (8-5-1) on a pass from Emily Poliquin with just over a minute left in the first half. Kim Ledbetter notched the win in goal, stopping eight shots. Jessica Allen scored for the Falcons (8-5) in the second half.
