WINTHROP – Elyse Cole scored on a rebound off the goalies pads with 10 minutes left to play to lift Winthrop to a 2-1 win over Hall-Dale in field hockey action Monday morning.

Nicole Emery gave the Ramblers (12-2) a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal in the first half. Mariah Vellani tied the game at 1-1 with an unassisted goal with 12 seconds left in the first half.

Tab Therrien made six saves for the Ramblers, while Hibby Regan stopped seven shots for the Bulldogs (10-3-1).

Soccer

Dirigo 6, Hall-Dale 0

DIXFIELD – Dani Glover notched three goals and recorded an assist as Dirigo beat Hall-Dale in a decisive 6-0 girls’ soccer win.

Brooke Weston added a goal and an assist, while Melissa Harvey and Ryanne Brown each added a goal for the Cougars (8-5).

Jessica Blaisdell made three saves on three shots to preserve the shutout, while Lindsey Marin was solid in net making 51 saves on 57 shots for the Hall-Dale effort.
