RUMFORD – Rumford Hospital and Elsemore Dixfield Center will sponsor a free breast and cervical cancer screening day for women who qualify on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Mammograms, pap test and clinical breast exams will be offered for women age 40 to 65 who are uninsured or whose insurance does not cover these vital exams.

Women with Medicaid B and Medicaid do not qualify.

These exams are free and

by appointment only in the third floor specialty clinic area of Rumford Hospital, where the mammography suite is located.

Certified mammography technologists Jean Soubble and Karen Welch will take the mammograms. Certified Nurse Midwife Daisy Goodman will perform clinical breast exams and pap tests. There will be refreshments and door prizes.
