1928 – 2003

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Georgette T. Dube, 75, a former long-time resident of Lewiston, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, in Melbourne, Fla., with her family by her side, after a long and courageous fight with cancer.

Georgette was born on May 30, 1928, in Lewiston and moved to Melbourne in 1987 with her husband, Gilbert Dube.

Mrs. Dube was a retired homemaker who worked for many years as a nursing assistant at the d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. She was a kind and loving person, mother and grandmother who enjoyed the company of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by a son, Michael Dube of Gray; daughter, Donna Morin of West Melbourne, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Karen Dube of Standish; granddaughters, Melissa Chamberland, Kathryn Dube, Taylor Dube and Sarah Dube; grandson, Michael Dube Jr.; great-grandson, Thomas Murphy V; two sisters, Antoinette Breault of Levant and Rita Landry of Lynn, Mass.; one sister-in-law, Florence Lafrance of Lewiston; one brother, Ray Lafrance of Satellite Beach, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Georgette was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Gilbert, in February of 2003.
