NORWAY – The Kiwanis Club of Norway-Paris will meet Thursday, Oct. 16, and will hear a talk by Mary Newcomb from REACH (Rape Education And Crisis Hotline), sponsored by member Pam Morra.

The club held a special evening meeting on Sept. 18 at the Trolley House Restaurant to present its annual awards and install the officers for the upcoming year.

Special awards presented include the Legion of Honor (recognizing 25 years as a member, and each five years thereafter): Cotton Damon, 25 years; Hank Morton, 35 years; Richard Gaisford, 40 years.

Ring of Honor (sponsoring a new member and completing three of five types of activities with that new member): Phil Corneliusen, Brigitte Marston, Diana McLaughlin, George Waterman, Tom Winsor and Bob Bizier.

Achievers Pin (recruitment of three members in one year): Sarah Glynn.

Ruby K Award (recruitment of at least five members during Kiwanis career): Bob Bizier, 14 members; Bill Haynes, 19 members.

Charlie Goodspeed Award (Kiwanian of the Year): Jill Bean.

New officers are Vicki Merrill, immediate past president; Diana McLaughlin, treasurer; Tina Croteau, president; Tom Morton, president-elect; Kathy Laplante, secretary; Sarah Glynn, vice president.
