Somebody has to answer some politicians on their remarks that they are putting in the paper. When it’s something good coming to Maine, they are suspicious because it is free.

The Chamber of Commerce is opposing the casino, yet, I talk to some business people here in Lewiston and they are 100 percent behind the casino.

Somebody should do their homework before they make statements like the chamber did did. If you go on Lisbon Street, you will see a sign that a businessman who belongs to the chamber, put up. He will vote yes on the casino because he knows that, for once, it will put a lot of people to work.

When did the state ever get $100 million on a silver platter?

We hear so many ads on TV. They say that seniors go to the casino and spend all their money. That is absolutely not true. I am a senior, and I am not a gambler. When I do go to a casino, my limit is $25, and I have fun.

Then I hear you can get addicted? There are a lot of young people who are addicted to different things, such as drugs and smoking. There are older people addicted to drugs that were given to them because of sickness.

Let’s not go backwards. Residents should make sure that they vote. Vote for the future of Maine and vote yes on Question 3.
