LEWISTON – Sister Lucille Fournier is a hometown hero in the eyes of the local Modern Woodmen of America camp.

The Lewiston camp recognized Fournier’s volunteer service and accomplishments on Sept. 17 at a dinner at the Ramada Inn. The camp presented Fournier a certificate, flowers and its appreciation in thanks for her efforts.

“Modern Woodmen deeply believes in volunteer communtiy service and developed a community service recognition program as a way to acknowledge and thank strong volunteers all across the United States,” said Jean Fournier, Modern Woodmen agent and camp secretary.

Modern Woodmen of America is a fraternal life insurance organization with its home office in Rock Island, Ill. It has a camp in Lewiston that provides a number of volunteer service and social activities for local members.
