AUBURN – Grace Lutheran Church, 757 Summer St., will host a harvest dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. The menu will feature roast turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potato, squash, peas, rolls, homemade pies and beverage. Tickets are $7 (ages 6 to 12, $3, and 5 and under free).

Proceeds will benefit Faithworks, a nonprofit corporation in Lewiston that provides employment, educational opportunities and job skill development.

Opportunities available at Faithworks have allowed many to find employment, end their dependency on welfare and unemployment compensation and reduce reliance on public assistance.

The proceeds will be supplemented by a grant through the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Care Abounds in Communities program. Through this program Thrivent Financial members receive financial support for fund raising activities benefiting individuals, families and non profit organizations with significant needs.
