1919 – 2003

GARRETT, Ind. – Leona B. Haley, 84, of Ashley, Ind., formerly of Poland, died Oct. 13, with her daughter at her side, at Millers Merry Manor in Garrett, Ind., where she had been a resident for the last six months.

Born in Rumford, Jan. 7, 1919, the daughter of Michael and Mary Ann Casey, on Jan. 6, 1940 she married Frederick T. Haley and he passed away in September of 1988.

She lived in Poland from 1965 until October of 1988. In 1989 she moved to Ashley, Ind., where she resided until her death. She spent her life as a homemaker. She loved to garden and she enjoyed reading.

Survivors include one son, John Haley of Middleport, N.Y.; six daughters, Patricia and husband, William Davis of Ashley, Ind., Margaret and husband, John Ambruso of Roxbury, Conn., Linda and husband, Garey Schumacher of Leominster, Mass., Elizabeth and husband, Robert Kimball of Poland, Helen and husband, Thomas Driscoll of Hernando, Fla. and Tami and husband, John Janowicz of MaComb, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her stepson, Tom; a brother; a sister; and a granddaughter.
