TURNER – Rick Vieta has been named the new pastor at the Turner Center Universalist Church, replacing Pastor Ray Nolan.

Nolan and his wife, Methyl, have moved to Lillian, Ala., to be nearer to their daughter. Their new address is 2552 Santa Rosa Drive, Lillian, AL 36549.

Church services are held at 10 a.m. every Sunday and after Family Time at 10:15 all of the children go to the vestry to attend Sunday School. There is special music each week under the direction of Dr. Larry Catlett, music director.

Catlett is always looking for new voices to join the choir. Practice will soon begin for the annual Candlelight Christmas Program usually held on Christmas Eve.

The Ladies Circle meets the third Monday of each month and work on crafts for their annual Nov. 11 Craft Fair. They rent tables to other crafters, and anyone wanting to reserve a table should call 225-3368 soon.
