RUMFORD – Mary Dunlap, a nurse practitioner, has joined Swift River Health Care.
Dunlap has been in health care since 1972. Most recently, she was an adult and family nurse practitioner in a community health center in Livermore Falls.
“I decided to come to Swift River Health Care because I particularly like being able to practice at the school-based clinic at Mountain Valley High School half-time and at Swift River in Rumford half-time. This way I’m able to care for people of all ages,” said Dunlap.
Although certified to provide care to entire families with a variety of health care needs, Dunlap is particularly interested in adolescents’ and children’s issues.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Cornell University. She also holds a physician’s assistant degree from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine. Her adult nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner credentials are from Simmons College, Boston. She is a board certified adult and family nurse practitioner.
Dunlap lives in Farmington with her twins, who are seniors in high school, and her husband, who is the minister of the Wilton Congregational Church.
