Dusty O’Brien was sentenced Tuesday.

PARIS – A cache of stolen items taken from homes in Oxford and York counties and Wakefield, N.H., were recovered after the arrest of Dusty Michael O’Brien, 20, of 42 Pine St., Porter.

O’Brien pleaded guilty Tuesday in Oxford County Superior Court to two counts of burglary, one count of theft, one count of aggravated criminal mischief and one count of criminal mischief, court records show.

O’Brien received sentences of six years, two years, and two months, all to run concurrently, with all but two years suspended and a two-year probation. The judge also ordered him to pay $500 to two of his victims, Porter residents Ronald Frappier and Jeffrey Perry.

O’Brien broke into both Perry’s and Frappier’s Colcord Pond homes March 21. At Frappier’s home, he stole three bottles of alcohol and destroyed windows, a door, furniture, clothing and carpeting.

At Perry’s home, he stole four bottles of alcohol, a picture, and destroyed a window.

Evidence regarding the vehicle O’Brien was driving at the time led Oxford County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Ian Tait to O’Brien’s home, where the stolen property was found, including coins and a handgun believed taken in earlier home invasions in York County.

Police said O’Brien later admitted committing the York County burglaries, as well as the New Hampshire break-in.

O’Brien brought police to the Box Shop off Elm Street in Parsonsfield where he had also stored stolen items. Found there was a rifle, a duffel bag full of bottles of alcohol, a DVD player, pornographic magazines, a sex device and a large-screen TV.
