STRONG – People who are new to the business world or who are planning to enter that world by starting their own business will have an opportunity to learn what to do and what not to do in a series of workshops sponsored by the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments (AVCOG).

The seven session program will be offered starting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the Forster Building. James Wilfong, master FastTrac instructor, will conduct the program.

Titled FastTrac Ventures, the project is designed for individuals who wish to go into business for themselves, who have recently entered the business world or are considering the venture.

Wilfong addresses the fundamental elements of what it takes to be an entrepreneur and offers detailed information relative to the basic elements of business.

The sessions include topics such as entry strategies, pricing and profitability, marketing and budgeting.

Registration materials, pricing information and scholarship information is available from AVCOG representatives Sarah Doscinski at 778-0863 or Tessa Geren at 368-4433.
