WINTHROP – Jared Church converted a pass from Jason Hayes at 18:24 of the second half to propel Lisbon to a 2-1 win over MVC rival WInthrop in boys’ soccer action Friday.

Church received a feed from Hayes from 18-yards out, turned and blasted it just past the outstretched hands of the Ramblers keeper for the game-winning shot.

Payton Austin scored the Greyhounds’ first goal at 22:54 of the first half.

Dan Lemieux recorded the contest’s first score for the Ramblers (3-10-1) at 21:04 of the first half but it was all Lisbon’s keeper Mike Wilkins (seven saves) would allow.

Berwick 2, Hebron 0

HEBRON – Tyler Jordan took a pass from Adam Prescott at 19:47 of the first half and buried it into the back of the net to propel Berwick Academy to a 2-0 win over Hebron Academy in boys’ soccer action Friday.

Micah Slause added an insurance goal with a second assist going to Prescott at 18-minute mark of the first half.

Ryan Prescott turned back eight shots to register the shutout.

St. Dom’s 5, Gray-New Gloucester 2

AUBURN – Eric Russo and Shawn Longley netted two goals apiece to lead St. Dom’s to a 5-2 win over Gray-New Gloucester in a WMC boys’ soccer matchup Friday.

Jack Lavoie took a feed from Josh Dwinal and found the net for the Saints (7-7) to complete the scoring. Nate Hamlyn needed only three saves to notch the shutout.

Mike Amergian and Andrew Worth tallied single goals for the Patriots (4-6), while Tyler Doughty deflected 10 shots in net in the loss.
