FARMINGTON – Registrations are being accepted for a two-day cardiopulmonary resuscitation instructor course from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 1 and from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at Franklin Memorial Hospital. This course will follow the standards and guidelines for CPR from the American Heart Association and is designed for anyone who is currently CPR certified and wishes to become a CPR instructor. “Through the use of state-of-the-art teaching materials and lots of hands-on treatment simulation, participants will learn how to assess a problem and deliver appropriate life-support skills,” said FMH Director Pam Ernest. The course will include instruction on adult, child and infant CPR, as well as first aid for an obstructed airway. There is a fee for the course, which includes the cost of textbooks. For more information or to register contact Kristen Grondin at 779-2381.
