BRIDGTON – Dr. Anita Patt has joined the medical staff of Bridgton Hospital, President John Carlson announced.

Patt received her medical degree from St. Georges University School of Medicine. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, with honors in biochemistry. She did her internship in internal medicine at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center and completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center at Denver.

Following her residency in 1991, she practiced for Family Health in Milwaukee, Wis., before moving to Geneseo, Ill. and working at Quad Cities Surgical Associates.

She is board-certified by the American College of Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

An accomplished horsewoman, she will continue to compete in dressage, a method of schooling and competitive equestrian sport.

In her spare time, she also enjoys running, swimming, cooking, and her cat, Miss Emmy.
