BETHEL – The National Merit Scholarship Program has recognized Gould Academy senior Brendan Forbes as a Commended Student for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by his performance on the PSAT/NMSQT exam.

Forbes placed among the top 5 percent of more than one million students who took the test in October of 2003. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Forbes of Hanover.

Associate Head of School Dr. Harry Dresser Jr. said of Forbes, ”It gives me great pleasure to have the opportunity to present this honor to Brendan; he exemplifies the successful students who work hard in all of their endeavors.”
