WASHINGTON, D.C. – Alisha Stevens of Lewiston has been selected to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum of Defense, Intelligence and Diplomacy from Oct. 28 to Nov. 2.
Having demonstrated academic achievement and an interest in a career related to national security, Stevens will join approximately 400 outstanding high school juniors and seniors from across the United States.
“By participating in the National Youth Leadership Forum on Defense, Intelligence and Diplomacy, students like Alisha Stevens will develop a keenly educated perspective on the United States’ role in global conflict resolution,” said Donna Snyder, forum executive director.
The curriculum is based on actual world events, allowing participants to learn from the examples set by previous generations of leaders and encouraging them to develop a perspective and tenacity unique to upcoming generations of leaders.
