Pro and con TV ads about the resort casino in Sanford are in our face every day and night. Until recently, we only saw the pro side; but, now that the cons had to change their wording, they are pitching in also.

Well, I ask her, “How do we really know if we’ve been getting our fair share from the Tri-State Megabuck Lottery?” We know for sure that this resort casino would mean thousands of jobs to Maine.

Since our lawmakers aren’t doing much to save our jobs from going overseas, how can anybody in good conscience oppose such a golden opportunity? Perhaps it’s because they’re not in complete control. Bus loads of Maine people head for Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut every day. If they want to gamble, they will gamble; so, why not spend their money here in Maine?
