1925 – 2003

LEWISTON – Priscilla M. Farrand, 78, of Martha Avenue, Lewiston died at St. Mary’s Hospital Tuesday, Oct. 21.

She was born July 22, 1925, in Lisbon the daughter of Albert and Emma (Roy) Martin. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Bliss College. In October of 1945 she married Joseph Farrand and together they settled down in Lewiston to raise their family.

Mrs. Farrand was a stay at home mom where she acted as homemaker and mother to her daughters, Nancy and Judi. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed making crafts and was a very good painter. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Kimpel and her husband Martin of Mahomet, Ill., and Judith Penn and her husband Michael of Stroudsburg, Pa.; two granddaughters, Katie Penn of Stroudsburg, Pa., and Jennifer Horvath and her husband James of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Monita Buteau and Joan Sampson both of Lewiston and Lorraine Paretta of Cape Coral, Fla.; two brothers, Michael Martin of Lewiston and Robert Martin of Lakeland, Fla.

Mrs. Farrand was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 2001; and her brothers, Albert Jr. and Richard.
