On Oct. 13, I proudly stood with well over 70 people (as opposed to “about 50” as the Lewiston Sun Journal reported Oct. 14) in support of the resort casino referendum.

At about 1:30 p.m., members of the CasinosNO! group were ushered into town from the comfort of their York county residences, led by a Mustang convertible with their well-groomed spokesman, Dennis Bailey.

This gaudy procession featured the ironic chant “Get a job!” along with obscene gestures aimed at myself and fellow referendum supporters. They also numbered about 60, and not 100, as the Sun Journal reported. Among that number were indeed people sprinkled between “six 12-passenger white vans;” however, most of the vans were barely half full.
