1946 – 2003
LEWISTON – Pauline R. Alimandi, 57, a resident of 571 Poland Road, Auburn, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, Oct. 23, at Central Maine Medical Center with family and friends after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Waterville, Jan. 12, 1946, the daughter of Fred and Reba Wilmot. She was educated in Dixfield schools and was a graduate of Dixfield Regional High School. She had been employed in several different shoe factories in her earlier years. Lastly, she had been an employee of General Electric in Auburn up until the time of her retirement.
Her interests included spending quality time with her family and friends, camping, fishing, boating, and doing puzzle books.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Alimandi of 36 years of Auburn; her mother, Reba Wilmot of Poland; two daughters, Gwen Golden and her husband, Mahlon of Auburn, Lorie Keough and her husband, Lawrence of Buckfield; a granddaughter, Courtney Keough of Buckfield; a very special sister, Cecile Hathaway of Jay; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Arthimise Alimandi of Rumford; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Josie Alimandi of Lewiston; and sister-in-law, Cynthia Ayotte of Auburn.
She was predeceased by her father, Fred Wilmot; and a sister, Sandra Hatfield.
