1923 – 2003

Lewiston – Hilda M. Pelletier, 80, of Summer Street, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 25, at her home.

She was born in Caribou on Sept. 8, 1923, the daughter of Amos and Anna Cyr Belanger. She was educated in Caribou schools and was married Feb. 15, 1947, to Lawrence Pelletier. He predeceased her on Jan. 6, 2001.

She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, enjoyed sewing and crafts, and was an avid shopper.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Lafontaine and her husband Denis of Lewiston; three sons, Laurence Pelletier Jr. and his wife Geneva of Auburn, N.H., Roger Pelletier of Hartford, and Steve G. Pelletier and his fiancee Merlene of Sabattus; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Roberts of Lewiston, and Edna Weed of Mesa, Ariz.; four brothers, Alphee and Clairmond Belanger, both of Caribou, Edgar Belanger of Lewiston, and Roland Belanger of Sabattus.
