On October 3, the Mechanic Falls Lady Wildcats won their first game in three years. The game took place in Mechanic Falls against Buckfield. They played a very good game.

In the first half, Brooke Witham from the Lady Wildcats, scored the first goal of the game. The crowd went wild because the goalie from the other team just missed the ball. Buckfield attempted many shots but unfortunate, did not make any in.

In the second half, both Brooke Witham and Ailison Cary scored a goal. Once again, the goalie just barely missed the shots. Buckfield did not score any goals, but once again made several attempts.

This game was the Lady Wildcats’ first victory in three seasons. They have been close in the past, but never actually reached the winning point. The horn was blown and the Lady Wildcats screamed, cheered, and jumped up and down with joy. The whole town was proud of the teamwork, effort, cooperation, and skill,

“I was very impressed with Buckfield, and with a little more maturing, they will be a great team. 1 was also extremely proud of the Lady Wildcats,” said a middle school teacher from Elm Street School.

It was a very good game and we feel that we worked very well together and because of that, we won our first game in three years.
